How to write your over fifties dating profile
We want everyone to have the best possible profile so that you guys all have the best chance of meeting that someone special. With that in mind, we've decided to give everyone a few ideas to set peeps on their way.
Make sure you have a photo.
You are ten times more likely to be contacted by a prospective date if you have a photo. It really does make a difference. Make sure it's genuine too. No point putting one up there that doesn't really look like you. I've been guilty of putting a super slim, tanned to the max photo from a holiday that happened a great many years ago and it isn't how I look now! Keep it real.
Fill in all your details.
Fill in as many details as you can. You're over fifty and you're dating online. You've got so much to tell so let it out. Also, people wonder what you've got to hide if you leave a whole heap of blanks.
Don't make it too long. Nor, too short!
Obviously the more information you can give other Members the better, but if someone looking at your details is faced with line after line of your life history they might get bored and move on to someone else. And you need to leave something to tell them when they contact you. Try and be witty if you can and put a little smile on their face when they read it
Stand out from the crowd.
Try to mark yourself out from the crowd by mentioning some of your more interesting , quirky traits and characteristics. Not everyone is going to want to go white-water rafting with you but it makes an interesting point of conversation when you start chatting.
Avoid Cliches.
It's all too easy to put, love cuddles on the sofa and staying in with a bottle of wine. We all love that but members will be reading that line time and time again. Make sure you're a bit different and you'll have a better chance of provoking some interest and getting that all important message in your inbox.
We hope all this will help you to make a better impression on other Members, and will speed up the process of you finding your perfect partner. Even if your profile is up to scratch, why not have another look at it and see if there's anything from this little lot that you could add in to make you really stand out from the crowd.
